Defeat in Novo Orahovo - Slavija vs. Senta (77/78)

The two teams fought out a real league match, which ended in a home win. It began cagily, and for a while neither goal was threatened. The first goal came in the 18th minute: at the end of a fine move down the wing the ball reached Popović, who sent an unstoppable scissor kick into the net. The goal gave wings to the hosts, who threatened the visitors' goal more and more often, but the Senta goalkeeper did his job well.

In the 38th minute, in a scramble in front of the visitors' goal, Gvozdenović put the ball into his own net. The second half passed without a goal and with a good deal of rough play, to which the referee did not react in time, and a player was sent off.
