Because of the bad weather barely fifty people gathered at the Palić ground. A cold wind and the rain that drizzled throughout the match did not allow for attractive football. Senta, inexplicably, fell back on defence from the start, so the Sever forwards camped in front of their goal and created plenty of chances, but Gyolai always proved a safe pair of hands. The only goal of the first half came in the 37th minute: after a foul on the edge of the box and the indirect free kick, the ball reached Jurković, who shot into the right corner.
At half-time the injured Todorović was replaced by Pjevač, but two minutes later Kujundžić headed in a cross from the right from close range to make it 2:0. That goal shook the visitors up somewhat, and they created a few chances but could not pull one back: Soti's header went wide. In the closing stages the hosts scored again, Borišić heading into the bottom left corner. Gyolai and Soti stood out for Senta.
