Defeat to the leaders - Senta vs. Srem (66/67)

In the first 45 minutes the defences were the better part of both teams, and the forwards could not take their chances. In the 4th minute the visiting goalkeeper struggled to save a low Kispal shot, and in the 22nd a Mašulović thunderbolt was deflected off a defender and went out. Srem then mounted some attacks too, and the Senta defenders had plenty to do until the break.

After the interval the visitors attacked furiously. In the 52nd minute the home defence dozed off and Srem went ahead from a 22-metre free kick. After the goal the ball was almost constantly in front of the Senta goal, and in the 76th minute an intended cross from the wing dropped into the net. In the last ten minutes Mašulović twice could have pulled one back.
