Bačka Topola, with a squad of higher quality, deservedly beat a Senta side missing several players through suspension. The visitors went ahead through Tanka in the 4th minute, and the hosts then missed two chances to equalise.

Later in the first half Vujović and Lazinica made it 0:3, and S. Farago reduced the deficit in the 42nd minute. Senta could not get back into the game after that.
