The Tisa derby began in slightly windy but sunny weather, and the hosts made the better start: in the 2nd minute Piri volleyed a superb cross from Andras Meszaros into the net. Proleter controlled the game, but the experienced Senta side regrouped and kept the attacks outside the penalty area. In the 22nd minute, after a scramble in the home box, the visitors appealed for a penalty, but the referee, close to the incident, waved play on.
The hosts took the initiative again, and the visitors resorted to some hard tackling to stop the rampant Čoka side, for which the referee showed several yellow cards. In the 36th minute Piri broke away down the right and into the box, where he was brought down - Butulija dispatched the penalty superbly. Proleter eased off after the second goal, which let Senta come forward more.
In the second half the visitors threatened through Rudics and Simendić, but goalkeeper Popović was alert. In the 70th minute he turned away a Simendić shot heading for the bottom right corner, five minutes later he dealt with another chance, and in the 85th the visitors appealed for a penalty a second time, only for the referee to give a corner. A minute later Ozvegy saved from Marković at the end of the hosts' best counter-attack. The fair-minded crowd gave both teams a big round of applause.
