Derby of the top two goes to Sloga - Sloga vs. Senta (84/85)

Both teams began nervously, for the stakes were high: the league's two best sides were measuring themselves against each other. Sloga shook off the nerves first and produced a fine attack as early as the 13th minute, when Višnjić met a Miklos cross and headed it from beside the post towards the outside of the net. The visitors created an excellent opening in the 19th minute but came away with only a free kick. In the 23rd minute Gyore was booked for bringing down Medić, and in the 26th Miklos hit the wall with a free kick from a good position. In the 30th minute Kitli chased a poor back-pass by Mile Ilijin, but Kormanyos averted the danger with a superb dive at his feet.

Early in the second half Daniel Szabo received the ball near the penalty spot but did not shoot. Sloga then besieged Dukai's goal and created two or three chances, one of which Miklos Szabo took superbly to put them ahead. After the goal the hosts' concentration slipped and they were careless in front of their own goal several times. In the 54th minute the ball fell to Kitli, who shot for the bottom left corner, but Kormanyos again saved brilliantly. The visitors tried hard but could not score despite half a dozen chances; in the 66th minute a Kitli header flew inches past the post. On chances a draw would have been fairer, but Sloga took one of theirs and deserved to win the derby. Olajos, Kitli and Petrović stood out for Senta.
