Derby win away to Bačka - Bačka vs. Senta (82/83)

In the opening minutes both teams mounted a few attacks: the visitors played rather cautiously, the hosts nervously. The Bačka players could not find their game, while the calm, measured Senta forwards caused goalkeeper Cirić more and more trouble. The hosts kept attacking, but Markov dealt with everything. In the 35th minute Vidović handled a cross, the referee pointed straight to the spot and I. Zmukić converted the penalty.

Nothing much changed after the break: the hosts remained disorganised and Senta strengthened their defence. In the 55th minute Barna dribbled past several players and was brought down some twenty metres out, and Kitli sent the free kick into the bottom right corner. Bačka still did not give up, but Markov clawed a 22-metre Cvijović shot out of the top right corner. In the last minutes Agoston got away from the defence, only for the experienced Cirić to save easily. Referee Simović deserved high marks.
