The derby was a disappointment. The football of the two rejuvenated sides was full of mistakes, misplaced passes and poor ball control. The visitors showed a shade more initiative, which can be put down above all to their wish to avenge their autumn defeat. There were hardly any chances: in the first half only a thunderous shot from the visitors, which flew over, and a good effort from Agoston, saved by the goalkeeper, were worth noting.

The hosts took the initiative after the break, but the visitors were the more dangerous, and more than once Markov needed all his skill to keep a clean sheet. Senta had their chances too, of course: Kitli fired over from 16 metres, and in the 58th minute Barna, completely unmarked on the edge of the six-yard box, headed over. Both teams stepped up the pace towards the end, but the forwards' efforts remained fruitless. Only the visitors' young inside-right produced a spectacular shot, the ball grazing the post on its way out.
