Stanišić opened the season with a comfortable win, mostly thanks to the experienced and inventive Dragan Dragičević. Senta took the lead through B. Đurđević in the 24th minute, but Dragičević had turned the game around by half-time with goals in the 27th and 30th minutes.
He converted a penalty in the 70th minute, and his fourth, in the 74th, was a gem - a spectacular lob over Ozvegy, who had otherwise kept goal superbly. The visitors had good chances too, but the home goalkeeper was in top form. Farago, back in the side as a substitute, marked his return with a thunderbolt in the 88th minute.
