The Tisa derby was played in bright autumn sunshine and ideal conditions, but those expecting attractive, flowing football were disappointed - both sides put the result first. After ten minutes of cautious sparring the hosts' first dangerous move produced a goal: Vukadinović went past two defenders and shot into the middle of the goal past Bontovics.
The goal lifted Obilić, and a minute later Grbić broke clear on his own, but this time the Senta goalkeeper made amends and saved with his foot. The home pressure continued, yet Milunović and his team-mates kept wasting their openings. Senta managed only a few half-chances in that period.
After the interval the contest was an even one. In the last ten minutes the visitors put Radulović's goal under heavy pressure, but the home defence, led by the experienced Borovnica, kept its net intact.
