In ideal weather the 250 spectators expected a win, and that is how it began, Radak scoring in the 8th minute. Unfortunately that was as long as the hosts played to their ability; for the rest of the match they piled error upon error and moved as though on leaden feet. The visitors sensed there was something in it for them, regrouped and took control for spells. In the 20th minute, after a corner, Pozsgai shot unstoppably into the bottom left corner from 14 metres. Counter-attacks alternated until the interval, and in the 35th minute Hasanović could have restored the lead but shot straight at the goalkeeper from close range.
The second half brought no better football. In the 65th minute, after an attack down the right and a bad mistake by the home defence, Szedlar put the visitors ahead. The home coach then made several changes and pushed his best player, Đurović, forward. He did not disappoint, equalising in the 70th minute. Eight minutes later Đurović was fouled on the edge of the six-yard box, but referee Balać, otherwise excellent, did not award a penalty.
In the last five to ten minutes the visitors went all out for the win, and Senta's young goalkeeper Vitković rescued his side several times. Pobeda then won the shootout 3:1.
