Eight goals in the derby, from 2:4 to a point in the last ten minutes - Senta vs. Bačka (79/80)

After the previous Sunday's slip in Lovćenac the Senta players vowed to surprise their supporters with a good display and a good result. They only partly kept their promise. Bačka came for both points and led 4:2 in the 80th minute, so the hosts could be glad of the draw. The crowd of 800 went home satisfied, not only because it had seen eight fine goals but because it had watched a real league match to the very end. The first ten minutes were cautious on both sides. In the 11th minute a Ban thunderbolt missed Koprivica's goal by inches, and two minutes later the hosts wasted another big chance from a goalmouth scramble. In the 20th minute Kerleta might have converted a superb Todorović cross, but the young forward fired wide from very close range.

In the 25th minute Barna headed a Sablatura corner towards goal; the goalkeeper was beaten, and Vidović could only stop the ball with his hand. Štrbački converted the penalty with confidence. The joy lasted thirteen minutes, until Petrik headed the equaliser from a Mijatov cross. The great battle continued in the second half. First Bačka went ahead through the excellent Petrik, and in the 70th minute Sablatura equalised from a Todorović cross. In the 77th minute Ostojić made it 3:2 to the visitors, and two minutes later Stantić added a fourth after a bad defensive error. The last ten minutes brought a real barrage in the visitors' half: Senta surpassed themselves and drew level through Kerleta and then Rozsa. It was a derby of the first order.
