The match began with the visitors on top, yet in the 9th minute, from a harmless-looking break, it was Senta who went ahead thanks to Vrana's skill. Even after the goal the visitors attacked more and goalkeeper Aulik had plenty to do; despite conceding three he kept goal excellently. The first half was otherwise of a low standard.

The second half was much faster. Senta stepped up and led 3:0, but even that did not break the Ada side. At 4:1 there was an unexpected turn: the visitors took the initiative and closed to within a goal. They already looked like equalising when, after a bad goalkeeping error - Miricki let the ball slip from his hands - Bajić set the final score. The Ada team were never outplayed, and the penalty awarded against Senta was too harsh.
