Senta missed a great chance to improve their goal difference. They spent eighty of the ninety minutes attacking and were constantly in the visitors' half, but the forwards wasted nearly a dozen chances: shots were blocked by defenders or saved by the excellent goalkeeper Gajić. The hosts could have been three or four goals up by half-time.

After the break the tempo rose further, and in the 48th minute Soti I. scored from a goalmouth scramble. The ball stayed in front of the visitors' goal, but their defence kept out any further goals until the end. Bognar and Krizsan stood out.
