Farago equalises against Hajduk - Senta vs. Hajduk (83/84)

Hajduk, formerly of the Vojvodina league, came to the town on the Tisa aiming for a point, as was clear from the first minutes. The first half was dull, with only the visitors' accurate passing worth mentioning, and the attacks kept breaking down at the edge of the box.

After the change of ends Senta mounted several promising attacks, and in the 47th minute Đurović hit the post. Two minutes later Arokszallasi saved his goal with a confident dive after a dangerous Hajduk attack. The supporters expected their team to win, yet it was the visitors who scored: in the 59th minute Marić got away on the right and shot past a helpless goalkeeper into the bottom right corner. Content with the score, the visitors quickly sat back, and it nearly cost them. In the 73rd minute a Todorović cross from the left caused a big scramble in the Hajduk box, where Farago reacted best and equalised. From the 85th minute the hosts pinned Hajduk back, but the visiting defence cleared everything.
