First defeat of the season, in Čantavir - Čantavir vs. Senta (79/80)

What Čantavir had been waiting for so very long finally happened: a win in front of their own crowd, and against leaders Senta at that. The hosts fought heart and soul, so the hoped-for success came, although Senta did everything to win. The visitors scored first, through Popović. A few minutes later Futo's glancing header went in past the goalkeeper.

Not long afterwards Sablatura needlessly and roughly struck Gere in the face, and the referee rightly showed him the red card; the team felt his absence particularly in the second half. After the change of ends the game was cautious for a long time. In the 65th minute the Senta defence stopped and Futo easily beat Markov for 2:1. The visitors protested, but the referee, who handled the match well, was unmoved. Senta kept attacking in search of an equaliser, and the hosts set the final score virtually from their last attack, through Mihajlović.
