First home defeat, to leaders Vrbas - Senta vs. Vrbas (72/73)

Senta suffered their first home defeat against a side that leads the table by six points. The visitors played very robustly, and after Micić's headed goal in the 19th minute the referee showed several yellow cards. As early as the 20th minute, after shots from Krizsan and Pinter, the ball came back off the bar to Vigh, who coolly put it in the net, but the referee disallowed the goal after consulting his linesman. That angered the Senta forwards, who put the visitors' goal under a siege of a kind not seen at the stadium for a long time. The Vrbas defence held out, however, and launched several very dangerous counter-attacks.

In the second half neither side tried as hard as in the first 45 minutes. The visitors were waiting for the final whistle and the hosts seemed resigned to defeat. The Vrbas forwards took advantage: from the centre-forward's cross Sekulović made sure of his side's win.
