First home win of the spring - Senta vs. Graničar (83/84)

After the previous Sunday's away win the yellow-and-blues from the banks of the Tisa regained their confidence and took two more valuable points against the visitors from Riđica. As early as the 3rd minute Petrović released Harmath down the right wing, he moved the ball on to Gyore in an excellent position, and Gyore shot home without a second thought. After the goal the visitors regrouped and had more of the ball in the Senta half, but got no further than the edge of the box. Their efforts paid off in the 43rd minute, when Veselinović headed the equaliser from a corner.

The second half began with a great home surge, followed by some thirty minutes of attacks at both ends without any big chances. In the 77th minute, on the counter, the visitors' left-back Travica could only stop Farago with a foul inside the box when he was clean through, and Farago converted the penalty himself. It was Senta's first home win of the spring, and a very important one in the fight to stay up. Birkas was the best player on the pitch, with Petrović, Farago and Agoston also standing out.
