At the end of the first half it looked as if a two-goal lead would be enough for the hosts to take their first league points. Senta played more or less up to their ability, put together many fine attacks and had plenty of chances. Krizsan headed the first goal in the 9th minute, and Sablatura scored in similar fashion in the 20th.
Twenty minutes after the turnaround it became clear that the yellow-and-blues would still have to fight for the win: Cvitko pulled one back in the 54th minute after a bad goalkeeping error and equalised in the 65th. Seven minutes later, after a mistake by the visitors' reserve goalkeeper, Popović put Senta back in front, and in the 77th minute Todorović found the net with a sharp shot. Three minutes from the end Bojko escaped his markers, rounded the goalkeeper as well and set the final score.
