The yellow-and-blues from the banks of the Tisa recorded their fourth win in a row, and in doing so not only avenged the defeat suffered the previous autumn but were better than their visitors in every respect; had they taken their other clear chances the margin would have been greater still. The supporters had to wait 28 minutes for the first goal: after a move between Đurović and Farago, Kitli found himself with a chance and made no mistake. The home pressure continued while Krivaja defended with all they had. The second goal came in the 36th minute: after an exchange of passes between Birkas and Đurović, Kitli again ran on to the latter's cross and nodded the ball in. In between, Đurović missed a sitter, shooting wide from five metres with no one near him.
The visitors had a slight edge after the break but got no further than the home penalty area, as Ilijin, Potpara and Tomić dealt with everything in time. Home counter-attacks developed again. Todorović was played through nicely and beat the Krivaja goalkeeper with a fierce shot into the near corner. After the third goal the hosts took complete control and kept the visitors' goal under constant siege. Todorović had another chance, but his shot from around the penalty spot missed the target. Then Babić spotted Kitli in an excellent position and slipped the ball to him, and the centre-forward scored his third. Even the fourth goal did not break the visitors' spirit and they fought hard for a consolation, but the last word went to Kitli, who made it 5:0 in the 86th minute.
