Even a comfortable win did not satisfy the Senta supporters, since only four of some two dozen chances were taken. The crowd had to wait nineteen minutes for the first goal, Kitli converting a Birkas cross. The first 45 minutes were of poor quality, and the forwards rarely got into scoring positions.
The game came to life after the break. In the 47th minute a home defensive error let Sekulić in, but his shot struck the post. Senta played with more fight and drive in the last half hour. Fustos made it 2:0 in the 58th minute, and a few minutes later a clever finish from Olajos brought the third. The visitors seldom got near the home goal, but when they did they were very dangerous. In the 67th minute Smit, the visitors' best player, broke through the Senta defence and could only be stopped by a foul, and Szabo converted the penalty. The visitors had another chance in the 79th minute but the score did not change, and in the 83rd Nikolić turned in a Kitli cross to complete the 4:1 win.
