The first twenty minutes were spent feeling each other out. With a slight edge, the visitors saw more of the ball in midfield and showed they had come to Senta for at least a point. Try as they might, the hosts could not find their rhythm and piled error on error, only beginning to settle after a quarter of an hour. First Farago and Nikolić both failed to reach an Agoston cross. In the 20th minute, after an attack down the left, Kitli picked out the well-placed Hun with a half-height ball and his volley struck the right-hand post. The visitors from Đala defended doggedly and tried the odd attack of their own, to no effect, and in the 37th minute Agoston hit the post as well.
In the second half the hosts played at full power. In the 57th minute Azucki, the visitors' best player, still managed to threaten, but Kranjec was equal to it. A minute later, on the counter, Agoston spotted the well-placed Farago, who this time did not miss. As the hosts' superior fitness told, the Graničar goal came under growing pressure. In the 64th minute Kitli, marked by two men all afternoon, shook them off and set up Rozsa, whose composed finish made it 2:0. Nikolić scored the third from another dangerous attack in the 69th minute, and in the 75th Hun raced down the right wing and found Rozsa, who again made no mistake.
