Senta had to win at all costs, since that was the only way to close the gap on their rivals from Mol. The first half produced poor football, barely up to the standard of the league. Solid defended and tried to keep a clean sheet, as a draw would have suited them too. They also managed a few feeble attacks: Kučo crossed, but Vojnić shot over, and a little later an Abakumov effort went wide as well.
After the break Senta won a free kick in the 60th minute following a Todorović run, and Roganović struck it unstoppably into the net. The visitors kept attacking after the goal, which forced the hosts to abandon their blanket defence and counter-attack. From one such visiting attack Senta won a corner in the 70th minute: Todorović crossed and Posa made such a poor attempt to deal with the ball that it ended up in his own net. Ilijin could have reduced the deficit, but his move with Abakumov came to nothing as Abakumov headed over from point-blank range. In the 77th minute Roganović won the ball, carried it some forty metres and scored the third after a solo run, and in the 88th Agoston found the top left corner from the left to make it 4:0.
