Four missed chances and a point - Senta vs. Sever (84/85)

The home supporters had good reason to fear this fixture: their favourites had to fight hard for a point. Senta missed four clear chances and Sever two, and the combative play of both teams was of average quality. Kitli was the unluckiest player: in the 8th minute he failed to punish a miskicked goal kick, and a few minutes later his fierce shot whistled inches past the bottom corner. Until the break both sides tried counter-attacks in turn, none of them dangerous.

The visitors took more of the initiative early in the second half, and Dukai had some luck in the 52nd and 54th minutes when the Sever forwards shot wide. In the 56th minute, after a well-started home counter, Agoston was left alone against goalkeeper Ubović but put his shot wide. The visitors then stepped up, only for Pasztor to miss a huge chance. In the last five to ten minutes the hosts threw everything forward: Kitli again found himself with a chance and again shot wide. The visitors dropped back into defence and held on to the result.
