The derby did not live up to expectations. The visitors went ahead in the 3rd minute, when Gyori tried his luck from around 30 metres and caught goalkeeper Viktor Szabo by surprise. The hosts then took the initiative but could not level before the break - Takacs came close, only to hit the crossbar.

Bačka 1901 did equalise in the 70th minute, helped by the visiting goalkeeper, who failed to keep out a harmless shot from Attila Takacs.
