Hard-fought Tisa derby ends level - Senta vs. Proleter (91/92)

As expected, the derby was a robust affair from start to finish, often overstepping the mark on both sides. The visitors went ahead in the 3rd minute, Z. Nikolić expertly steering in a Kandžija free kick. The early goal hit the hosts like a cold shower. In the 20th minute, in a challenge between Nikolić and Budovalčev, the Čoka side's leading scorer suffered a broken leg - an unfortunate outcome of a fair contest for the ball.

The hosts only began to threaten around the 40th minute. Đurović missed a sitter in the 43rd, but two minutes later Radak equalised. The second half was almost entirely Senta's: they created more chances and forced four corners, yet the visiting defence was always in place. Referee Rondović kept breaking up play, which suited neither side. On the balance of play the draw was fair.
