It is no accident that Senta lead the table. On the evidence of their first-half display in particular they deserve to be playing a level higher. Kitli put them ahead in the 7th minute, heading in from some eight metres after a goalmouth scramble. Two defensive errors sealed the home side's fate: the in-form Kitli punished the Sever defenders with a goal each time, in the 28th and 40th minutes. In the first half Sever were second best.
The hosts managed to improve on that only a little after the break. They raised the tempo, but Senta dealt successfully with their attacks. Sever pulled one back in the 76th minute, when Stojanov headed in a Kujundžić cross. Referee Drašković handled a sporting match well.
