Kitli hat-trick opens the spring - Senta vs. Bratstvo (87/88)

Senta turned in an efficient display in the first match of the spring. They were on top throughout, and on the balance of chances the win could have been wider still. The visitors set out to defend from the first minute and only tried to threaten with rare, sporadic attacks, most of which broke down in the home half. The pressure told in the 29th minute: after a quick counter down the right Agoston laid on an excellent ball for Kitli, who this time made no mistake. The next two minutes saw frantic scenes in front of the visitors' goal, and Nikolić turned the opening into a goal. The finest strike of the match came in the 42nd minute, when Csuzdi curled the ball into the top right corner from the corner of the box.

Senta were the better side after the break too. In the 63rd minute goalkeeper Stantić could only parry a fierce half-height shot from Hun, and Kitli was on the spot in a flash to roll the ball in. The hosts then eased off a little and the visitors came forward more often. From an attack that looked harmless they won a free kick some 30 metres out, and Kovačić found the top left corner past the badly positioned Kranjec. The visitors' hopes lasted only a few minutes, as Kitli added the fifth in the 87th minute from a Hun cross.
