IN MEMORIAM: Gyuka Kovacs - Gyufi

Gyula Kovács, known to almost the entire sporting community of Senta simply as Gyufi, is remembered as one of the unforgettable figures of the Kristal team during his playing days. He later spent 18 years working as FK Senta's masseur, during which time he was loved and respected by everyone.

It was as a fan, however, that he earned a special place in the history of the club and the town. There was hardly a sporting event or match in Senta that Gyufi ever missed. He was always there, Senta's flag in hand, cheering on local teams and athletes, regardless of who their opponents were.

His memory lives on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
