The match ended with a result that fully reflected the balance of power. In the first half Senta created three chances, but the forwards missed them one after another. In that period the visitors posed no particular threat to the home goal, and the goalkeeper had to make only one spectacular diving save.

The game changed in the second half. Bačka attacked in waves, while Senta passed inaccurately and could barely put together one or two coherent attacks.
