On a heavy pitch both teams moved with difficulty. The hosts had a chance as early as the 7th minute through Kertesz, who squandered a clear opportunity. The quality then dropped and the visitors came into it, though the home defence held firm until the 35th minute. Then, from an attack that looked harmless, Davidović lifted the ball over the advancing Lovrić and it went in off the crossbar. In the 44th minute Lovrić showed his ability and saved his side from a second goal.
At half-time the home coach gave his players a serious dressing-down for their sluggish play, and the picture changed after the break: Majkić equalised with a glancing header in the 55th minute. Banov then came on, got down the right well several times and created chances with his crosses. In the 85th minute it was he who won the ball and lifted it to the edge of the six-yard box, where Majkić, on the turn, put his side ahead with a tremendous shot. In the closing moments, after a mistake in the home defence, the visitors nearly equalised. On the play Sloga deserved to win, having created more chances and been more effective in the second half, while the visitors played well but lacked fight up front. Mojsilov and Davidović stood out for Senta.
