Mazak punishes the missed chances - Čantavir vs. Senta (87/88)

Both teams played with great spirit, but the slippery pitch did not allow for an attractive match. Čantavir had a chance as early as the 6th minute and went ahead in the 13th through Kuburić. The hosts then dominated and created chance after chance: a defender threw himself in the way of a Szavai shot, and Cvitko hit the post. Senta did not have their first openings until late in the half.

Senta began the second half the better, so the hosts made quick changes, and the experienced Suturović and Sinkovics restored the balance. More chances followed for Čantavir, while at the other end Kitli shot wide from close range. The hosts' misses were punished by Mazak, whose long-range effort in the 62nd minute beat goalkeeper Crnković. In the last minute Suturović had the chance to put his side back in front, but shot wide from a metre out. Referee Pešić handled the match very well.
