The visitors controlled the opening stages, and Agoston in the 11th minute and Todorović in the 26th both missed clear chances. After half an hour the hosts came into it, and in the 31st minute Feher wasted a sitter. In the 35th minute Szakala put Trešnjevac ahead at the end of an attack down the right.

The home side kept pressing in the second half, and in the 47th minute, from a free kick on the right that everyone expected to be crossed, Szakala shot into the top right corner, deceiving goalkeeper Dukai as well, to make it 2:0. In the 71st minute, after a visiting attack down the right, the home defenders failed to clear the cross and Olajos pulled it back to 2:1. In the 75th minute the crowd saw a textbook home attack, the ball moving from foot to foot until Vlašković set the final score at 3:1. Both teams kept trying until the end, but there were no more goals.
