Tibor Nagypal continues his career in Senta (05/06)

After the autumn three teams could dream of promotion: Horgoš Higlo, Palić and Senta. Palić then swapped places with Tavankut after 15 rounds, leaving the title race between Horgoš and Senta.

Club secretary and goalkeeping coach Jozsef Ozvegy said the start had been difficult because of a tough fixture list and a short pre-season, but the team then won its last nine games and sits third, two points behind Horgoš. The club parted ways with Stevanović, Grujić and Popović, and brought in Tibor Nagypal from Ada, formerly of Hungarian top-flight side Kaposvar and a member of Hungary's extended national squad, Jovica Lakić, who had played for Lokomotiv Moscow, Vladimir Bunić and Boris Gujić. Dragan Zečević replaced Milan Kovrlija as head coach. Training resumed on 15 January.

Executive director Istvan Bajusz stressed that the aim is to keep the local players who form the backbone of the team and to put more emphasis on youth development: "We do not want to finish first at any cost, but if the chance comes, we will not let it slip."
