Čantavir were eager for this match, as the previous week's defeat had hurt their supporters. In the very first minute Cvitko received an excellent ball five or six metres out but met it with his shoulder instead of his head and it went wide. Senta defended stoutly, and the game was one of effort more than quality. In the 14th minute Katona broke through alone and shot over the bar. In the 40th minute Pejičić received an excellent ball eight to ten metres from goal, but Mojsilov saved well, and two minutes later the same player missed the target. In the 44th minute Kis Bicskei won the ball off the home defenders but shot wide.
In the second half Čantavir attacked hard and pinned Senta back. In the 59th minute Pejičić headed in a long throw. The hosts kept attacking, and in the 76th minute Pejičić had another big chance. Then Senta too, also from a long throw, could have equalised, but the shot went wide. All in all the home side deserved their narrow win in a hard-fought, sporting match.
