Nikolić equalises in the 88th minute - Senta vs. Slavija (84/85)

What the Senta management had feared came to pass: the old tradition repeated itself, a draw with the side from Novo Orahovo. The crowd saw a contest worthy of a real derby, hard-fought and entertaining throughout. Both teams worked hard and the forwards created countless chances at both ends, but in the first 45 minutes the nets of Dukai and Lep remained untouched.

The home supporters hoped Senta would make up for it after the break, but in the 50th minute, after a bad mistake in the home defence, Mandić easily put his side ahead. The goal rather surprised the hosts, but they then threw everything forward and pinned the visitors back completely in the closing stages. Farago, Kitli and then Agoston missed big chances before Nikolić, the best player on the pitch, scored the equaliser from a tight position in the 88th minute. A draw was the fairest result, and the referee handled the match excellently.
