The match began with furious Senta attacks. Bajusz ran down the wing in the very first minute and his hard shot went in through the goalkeeper's hands. In the 3rd minute Bajusz hit the post, and in the 7th Gvozdenović II. scored directly from a corner. The visitors pulled one back in the 25th minute after a defensive mistake, but soon afterwards Bajusz was brought down in the box and Gvozdenović II. converted the penalty. Kispal scored in the 40th minute, and in the last minute of the half Csonka got a superb goal from a Pinter II. pass.

After the break Senta's pressure grew further. In the 55th minute Bajusz scored again, two minutes later Pinter II. found the net after skilfully beating two defenders, and in the 59th Pinter I. scored with a tremendous shot. Pinter II. set the final score.
