The derby was played at the refurbished ground in Ada, where the stands had been renovated for the occasion and a new one for another 500 spectators built on the eastern side. Before a full house the luckier side won: the hosts had the territorial advantage throughout, but Senta, thanks to superb saves from Markov, took both points. AFK forced two corners in a row as early as the 3rd minute, in the 15th Markov only just kept out a thunderous Pozsgai shot, and in the 18th he denied Vogrinec too.
In the 22nd minute, after a big home chance, the loose ball came to Sablatura, who scored the only goal of the match from a tight angle. AFK kept attacking, while Senta threatened with counters of two or three passes through Sablatura and Todorović. The second half was played almost entirely towards one goal, but the home forwards could not break through. In the 62nd minute there was an unfortunate incident: young Apro was badly hurt in a collision with Markov and was taken to hospital in Senta.
