Own goal decides the town derby - Senta vs. Žitopromet (95/96)

The town derby went as expected. Senta were a match for a side near the top of the table, and the result could have gone the other way had they taken their big chances in the first half: in the 12th minute a Redžić header struck the bar, and then Đurović missed two openings.

They were soon punished - Nagypal put Žitopromet ahead in the 14th minute, and four minutes later Belec, trying to rescue the situation on the goal line, put the ball into his own net. Senta rallied after that, and in the 32nd minute Đurović made up for his misses with a spectacular goal.

Žitopromet knew better what they wanted after the break, and their task was made easier when Harmat received a second yellow card. A draw would have been a fair result.
