On Saturday, in the season's final league match - which ended 0:0 against Bajša - those present at the stadium in Senta witnessed a special moment: the official farewell to József Özvegy, who devoted nearly three decades of his life to the club.
Fondly known to many as "Uncle Joca," the former outstanding goalkeeper played an important role in the club's daily life over the years, both as a coach and as club secretary. Many excellent players came through under his guidance, and through his work and experience he left a deep mark on the club.
Players, coaches and supporters present thanked József Özvegy with applause for his tireless, decades-long work. While retirement means more time with family and grandchildren for him, by his own account he can't - and doesn't want to - fully step away from the club.
Thank you, József, for nearly three decades devoted to our club. We wish you good health, happiness and beautiful moments in your retirement years!
