The two sides played a lively, hard-fought and sporting game. The hosts attacked more in the first half but failed to take their chances. As early as the 3rd minute Stojanov headed wide while completely unmarked, in the 21st goalkeeper Stojanović made a superb save from Jović's volley, and in the 37th Jović wasted a close-range chance.

The visitors defended excellently in the second half and held on for the draw.
