Instead of cardboard and crumpled newspapers - plastic seats

The Senta City Stadium is changing its look and comfort.

Installation has begun on 1,150 plastic seats, a gift from FK Partizan of Belgrade. Delivery of a further 900 is expected, and once the work is finished, the entire west and east stands will be fitted out for comfortable seating.

The pitch at the City Stadium is among the best not only in the region but in the whole country. It is well-maintained and level, free of molehills, well-turfed and excellently drained. Even after heavy rain it remains usable, with no puddles or small pools. During the national team's stay, Miljan Miljanić acknowledged that quality training camps could be organized on it. Dušan Bajević and Safet Sušić were of the same opinion.

Everyone - except the spectators following the play of their favorites - sat on crumpled newspapers, cardboard boxes, and some even on cushions brought from home, wrapped in plastic bags. The concrete is not only dirty but also cold, so anyone who hadn't brought the right gear had to stand.

The spring championship of the Vojvodina group of the Serbian Football League continues on March 15th and 16th. In Senta, a derby for first place is played against Dunav, separated by just two points. The match kicks off at 14:30 on Sunday, March 16th - framed by new seats and uncompromising fans who will now be able to follow the match in better conditions, supporting their Club, and above all FK Partizan, with whom FK Senta maintains close, friendly sporting ties.
