The small crowd saw a real league match played at a very good pace. The players of both teams worked very hard and there were countless chances. The visitors went ahead in the 17th minute: Sablatura intercepted a poor throw from goalkeeper Lep, took two or three strides and fired unstoppably in under the bar from the edge of the box. The goal came as a cold shower to the hosts, whose defence wobbled in those minutes, and Senta went looking for another.
Fortunately for Slavija it did not last long: the hosts soon regrouped and went forward again, and in the 27th minute Andreušić equalised from an attack that had looked harmless. The score did not change before the break. Both sides attacked in the second half and set a high tempo, but the defences held. As time went on the hosts gradually took the initiative, and in the 74th minute the ball came to Petras on the left, who from 16-17 metres shot past Markov into the far corner to make it 2:1.
