Safety secured in the sweltering heat - Senta vs. Preporod (90/91)

On chances the win over a capable Preporod side could have been bigger, but, as in previous matches, the forwards failed to convert even the clearest openings. The hosts attacked fiercely from the first whistle without creating a clear chance, and in the 15th minute the visitors nearly went ahead - Matić cleared off the line. Two minutes later Đurović was a fraction late to a ball that goalkeeper Janković gathered.

In the 19th minute Radak received a perfect pass from Todorović and gave Senta the lead with a fine finish. In the 30th Todorović ran down the right and crossed well, but Farago, unmarked, fired over; in the 43rd he hit the post.

The tempo dropped after the break and the visitors took more of the initiative. Savić equalised in the 54th minute, which lifted Preporod, and several dangerous counter-attacks followed, but the Senta defence was equal to them. The hosts then took control, and in the 64th minute Todorović made it 2:1. Preporod threw everything forward at the end, to no avail. At 1:1 referee Mrvaljević had failed to award the hosts a penalty when Anđelić pulled Đurović down in the box.
