The game began with spirited Senta attacks and the home goalkeeper had to save from Kurfis as early as the 2nd minute. After a quick combination Heinrich put the visitors ahead in the 4th minute. The goal unsettled the Dinamo players, who then gradually escaped the pressure, and after one corner Buza headed the ball off the goal line. The game became very entertaining: Senta directed their attacks through Fajka, while Dinamo hit back dangerously at times. In the 20th minute a home goal was disallowed for offside, and just a minute later Senta scored their second.
The second half also began with Senta attacks, but these broke down around the penalty area. Dinamo then won a string of corners and sent shot after shot over the bar, and in the 56th minute Belić II broke away with a long ball and pulled one back past the advancing goalkeeper. The hosts launched a great finish, but Senta defended doggedly and held on; Dinamo made nothing of any of their twelve corners. Galler, Buza, Fajka and Heinrich were the best of the Senta side.
