Seventy minutes on top, only two goals - Senta vs. Proleter (89/90)

The 250 football-hungry spectators could not have dreamed of a match like this: despite a host of clear chances the net of the considerably weaker visitors bulged only twice. There was no lack of pressure, with seventy minutes played in the visitors' half and in front of their goal, but the gaping chances went unused. The crowd had to wait 38 minutes for the first goal: Čočaj took what was already the sixth corner and Kovacs ran in to put his side ahead. After the goal the team began to play a little more sensibly, which paid off again five minutes later, when Farago headed in a Toth Abonyi free kick. In the 44th minute Gajda was played through and shook off his marker, but when alone with the goalkeeper he shot straight at him.

After the break the visitors threw everything forward for a goal and managed to gain a slight edge, though their finishing let them down too. In the 50th minute the referee showed Kovacs a red card, and the hosts played on with ten men, their attack becoming weaker still. In the 65th minute Kis pulled one back from a goalmouth scramble after a defensive error, but that was all the visitors could manage. The hosts had one more gaping chance in the 75th minute, when Verba received the ball unmarked at the corner of the six-yard box and controlled it well but could not finish.
