Senta lived up to expectations, recorded their sixth win in a row and banked more points. Trešnjevac are a tough, spirited side and stood up to the home attacks in a manner befitting their place in the table. In the first ten minutes their defence dealt with two clear chances, but in the 17th minute it could do no more: from a Birkas cross N. Zmukić scored with an 18-metre drive. A minute later Kitli won the ball on the halfway line, shook off several visiting players and scored the second from around the penalty spot. The visitors could have pulled one back with a header in the 27th minute, but Dukai saved comfortably. More home attacks followed, and in the 37th minute a fierce shot from Olajos missed by inches. Three minutes later the referee made an overly harsh decision and showed Olajos a red card, so the hosts played with ten men for the rest of the match.
For some twenty minutes after the break the visitors had the better of midfield, but they got no further than the Senta penalty area and Dukai was in excellent form. The third goal came in the 75th minute, scored by Todorović. Even then the visitors did not give up and tried to pull one back, without success. The crowd watched a true league contest to the end.
