Senta produced their weakest display of the year. The players moved as if with lead in their boots and the forwards could not take even the clearest chances. The defence was not at its usual level either and often resembled an open door. The forwards kept arriving late, so the chances in the 16th and 18th minutes went begging. Meanwhile the visitors from Novo Orahovo tried to get at Markov with long balls. In the 22nd minute they forced two corners in a row, and from one of them Fejdi headed them in front; Markov was partly at fault, being late to react. In the 39th minute the visitors could easily have scored a second.
The second half began with the hosts slightly on top, and the crowd of 400 thought of an equaliser, but the effort was short-lived. The visitors took control again and enjoyed a big territorial advantage in that period; there was more thought in their play and they often left the home defence in checkmate. It was lucky that Markov was alert, because on chances Slavija's win could have been bigger. The hosts had to field several injured players, which left its mark on their game, but the visitors' win was fully deserved all the same.
