The visitors were the better side in the first half. As early as the 3rd minute Cvetković was fouled in the box, but the referee's whistle stayed silent, and in the 11th minute Popov's shot flashed just wide. In the 13th minute Đaković put Dolina ahead from a disputed penalty. In the 30th minute Đukić was about to head into an empty net from five metres when Toškov fouled him - and once again no penalty was given to the visitors.
The second half was more even, and in the 62nd minute Josimović made it 2:0 on the counter. Senta then threw everything forward, and in the 82nd minute Kakaš pulled one back from fifteen metres. Đaković added a third on another counter in the 90th minute, Cvetković headed in from close range to make it 3:2 in the 91st, and in the 93rd minute Kakaš hit the post from close in. A draw would have been a fairer result.
