A winning start to the spring - Senta vs. Stanišić (04/05)

FK Senta opened the spring half of the season with a win over a modest Stanišić side. The hosts went ahead in the 50th minute, when Vukan Nikolić took advantage of a scramble in front of the visitors' goal. The referee sent off Stefanov in the 61st minute, but Senta extended their lead even with ten men, Jelić scoring in the 77th.

There was a curious story behind the game: coach Jozsef Ozvegy, being superstitious, never has his photo taken before a match, believing it brings bad luck. This time a journalist talked him into lining up with the whole team in front of the camera - and luckily the fear proved unfounded, as his side played well in the second half.
